One step at a time, the project to protect Hwy 37 from sea level rise is moving forward. The California Transportation Commission approved a $50 million grant to replace and lengthen Tolay Creek Bridge near Sonoma Raceway that will also promote restoration of the San Pablo Baylands. It is the first phase of the $430 million dollar project to protect the roadway between Sonoma Raceway and Mare Island.
