A man riding his bicycle to work early Saturday morning on Fulton Road in Santa Rosa who was hit by a car claims the driver did it on purpose, and he was targeted.
The man suffered a broken left leg in multiple places that required surgery and external fixators to stabilize it according to the Press Democrat. He says the driver of a gray SUV yelled at him prior to hitting him from behind, then taking off. He was dragged by the vehicle and eventually knocked off his e-bike, a second, unrelated car stopped to offer help and call 9-1-1. The CHP has the incident under investigation, the man, who wishes to remain anonymous, will undergo a second surgery on Friday.
