After careful consideration and feedback from residents, the Sebastopol City Council voted Tuesday to finally place a half-cent sales tax on the November Ballot. The city is facing an almost $700,000 budget deficit. The tax will raise $1.5 million per year for 12 years, and is a general tax, so it only needs a simple majority to pass. The council voted 5-0 to approve adding the tax measure.
