Several Sea Lion Sightings In Petaluma River

There are several reports of a sea lion swimming in the Petaluma River.

Last Sunday, a kayaker also saw it napping on a floating dock in the Turning Basin. The sea lion may be lost, and experts think it swam too far up the Petaluma River from San Pablo Bay. In the past few days, volunteers with Sausalito’s Marine Mammal Center have been trying to find and potentially help it.

One person who has been photographing the sea lion says it appears to be sick and coughing.
