21-Year-Old Arrested For Scamming Elderly Sonoma County Woman

A scammer who targeted an elderly woman in Sonoma County is heading to prison.

On Monday, 21-year-old Yung-Wen Kuan was sentenced to two years in prison. Last month, he pleaded no contest to one felony count of elder theft. Prosecutors say he posed as a federal marshal and scammed the woman from Hessel out of close to 20-thousand dollars. He was arrested when he returned the next day to collect more money from the woman.
