Sonoma County’s Net Assessment Roll Hits All Time High After 5.44% Jump

Sonoma County’s net assessment roll has hit an all-time high of over $127 billion.

That’s a 5.44% jump from last year, reflecting the total value of all local property as of January 1st. This record high means more money for essential county services, especially our public schools, which receive about half of the property tax revenue.

The Assessor’s office also noted significant progress in tackling assessment backlogs, thanks to new resources and improved technology, aiming for timely assessments in the coming years.
