The 42nd annual Art from the Heart auction brought 350 art lovers to Sonoma State University this month, raising $22,000 for the campus art gallery.
According to the Press Democrat, over 100 pieces were sold, featuring works from alumni, faculty, and current students, as well as a special tribute piece from the family of the late sculptor Sandra Shannonhouse.
The funds will directly support upcoming exhibitions, artist talks, and educational programs at the University Art Gallery. Organizers say the long-running event continues to affirm the strength of the local creative community.
Attendees enjoyed a vibrant evening of live Latin music, wine, and local art for a cause.
