Santa Rosa City Council Begins Interviews for New City Manager

The Santa Rosa City Council is meeting in closed session this morning to interview candidates for the city’s top administrative post.

This first round of interviews marks a critical step in finding a leader to oversee day-to-day operations for Sonoma County’s largest city. Council members are prioritizing candidates with robust financial backgrounds and proven success in tackling housing and economic development challenges.

The selected individual will be responsible for managing nearly 1,300 employees and a massive $554 million budget.

Officials hope the new hire will provide long-term stability and strategic direction for the city’s future.
