A bicyclist was killed early Saturday morning following a collision with a vehicle on Dunaweal Lane in Calistoga.
Authorities report that the cyclist was traveling along the shoulder west of Silverado Trail when they moved into the roadway and were struck by an eastbound Ford Mustang. The rider was ejected from the bike and tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the site and is cooperating fully with the investigation. Dunaweal Lane was closed for several hours during the morning commute but has since been reopened to traffic.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
