The Santa Rosa Police Department has released footage of a March 12th shooting involving Officer Taylor McDonagh and Eric Keith Brown.
The incident began after a 9-1-1 call on 10th Street led to a confrontation where Brown reportedly moved toward the officer. Despite attempts to subdue him with a stun gun, Officer McDonagh fired her service weapon as the situation escalated. Brown sustained serious injuries and remains hospitalized but is expected to survive.
Per standard protocol, the officer has been placed on administrative leave while the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office conducts an independent investigation.
