Petaluma Pair Named County Classified Employees of the Year

Two of Petaluma’s own were honored this week as Sonoma County “Classified Employees of the Year.”

The Petaluma Argus Courier reports Dion Wilson, a dedicated head custodian and coach at Casa Grande High, joined district specialist Claire Crisco among 40 countywide honorees.

Local officials praised the pair for their “dedication and heart,” noting they consistently go above and beyond for their school communities. From maintaining facilities to troubleshooting vital student data, these professionals are being recognized for the essential, often behind-the-scenes work that keeps schools running.

County leaders emphasized that employees like Wilson and Crisco foster the positive daily interactions that help students truly thrive.

It’s a proud moment for Petaluma City Schools as their impact is celebrated across the entire county.
