Santa Rosa police arrested two drivers for driving under the influence during a checkpoint Friday night at Piner Road and Coffey Lane.
Officers contacted over eleven hundred vehicles, resulting in twelve citations for unlicensed or suspended driving and six DUI evaluations. One motorist was also arrested for suspected felony child abuse during the four-hour operation.
Funding for the public safety enforcement checkpoint was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
