A misdemeanor public intoxication charge against Santa Rosa City Councilmember Eddie Alvarez has been dismissed by a Sonoma County judge.
The charge stemmed from Alvarez’s arrest last November for riding a bicycle while intoxicated. As part of a deal with the District Attorney’s office, Alvarez completed dozens of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings to have the case dropped.
It remains unclear whether he will face any administrative or disciplinary action from the city council.
