A Santa Rosa man has died from injuries sustained in a New Year’s Eve hit-and-run, prompting an ongoing investigation by local police.
74-year-old Geary Wade Grady passed away in the hospital yesterday, nearly a week after he was struck by a pickup truck while using a crosswalk at Morgan Street and College Avenue.
The driver, 31-year-old Brigido Pena Villanueva, was arrested in Cotati shortly after the crash and originally booked for felony hit-and-run; authorities are still seeking witnesses to the collision.
