Late-Week Rain Headed for Sonoma County

Sonoma County residents should keep their umbrellas handy as a “brief wet period” is expected to roll through the North Bay starting Wednesday night.

Per the Press Democrat, forecasters with the National Weather Service say the rain will likely stick around through Friday morning, bringing slightly above-average precipitation for early April. While the heaviest totals are expected further south along the Central Coast, our area could see isolated storms and up to a half-inch of rain in some spots.

This breaks a mostly dry trend for the first week of April seen over the last few years, though experts are still refining the exact locations of the heaviest downpours. Officials are encouraging everyone to stay mindful of weather updates, especially if you have outdoor plans or construction projects scheduled for the end of the week.

Expect conditions to clear up just in time for the weekend.
