Repeat DUI Offender Arrested After Parking Lot Donuts Lead To Crash

A Petaluma man is back in custody after allegedly crashing his pickup truck while performing stunts in a bowling alley parking lot Sunday night.

Police say 44-year-old Jamie Gipson was spinning “donuts” around 8:00 p.m. before plunging into a ditch and fleeing the scene on foot. Officers tracked Gipson to his nearby residence, where he reportedly displayed clear signs of intoxication.

With at least three prior DUI convictions and currently under post-release supervision, Gipson now faces new felony charges for DUI, reckless driving, and hit-and-run.

He was booked into county jail following the investigation.
