Petaluma’s City Council has just approved a $348 million budget for the next fiscal year, a 13% increase from last year.
The Press Democrat reports about 28% of the budget goes to professional services and maintenance, and another 28% to salaries. The largest revenue sources are taxes and utilities.
The budget also includes $500,000 for the trestle project and more funding for a sidewalk program.
