In an emergency\, O-negative is what doctors reach for when there’s no time to determine a patient’s blood type\, and O-positive is the next best alternative. \n  \nAs a special thanks to donors who answer the call\, Vitalant is offering those who come to donate Aug. 30 – Sept. 4 an 80s throwback “Super Donor” T-shirt plus a $10 gift card through its Donor Rewards program. SUMMARY:Warren and Bee’s Howl-Oween lunch and auction fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:We are holding a fundraiser to help local 4-H youth Warren\, a type 1 Diabetic with Autism\, get a service dog and would love for our community to join us and support him!\nWarren works so hard to do things that most kids take for granted and he could really use a win and the community’s support as he raises funds to pay for his service dog\, that is literally a lifesaver for Warren. Warren was matched with service dog Bee who alerts to his high and low blood sugars often more accurately and before his medical devices. Bee is also trained to help Warren with overstimulation and feeling overwhelmed due to his Autism- she is truly a special dog! Tickets are now available for purchase for our in person fundraiser- please share with your friends! Tickets can be purchased at www.givebutter.com/WarrenandBee Lunch is provided in price of ticket and will be provided by Pasta King catering. Come and meet Warren and Bee and “bid” them good luck on their journey as a service dog team while enjoying the best pasta in Sonoma County! Location: 4-H Youth Ag Center- 6445 Commerce Blvd\, Rohnert Park\, CA Time: 12:00 PM – 4 PM Live Auction starts at 2:30 PM and will be hosted by auctioneer Chad Carvey from The Principal Auctioneer Music and entertainment will be had by all to support Warren and Bumblebee becoming a service dog team. Activities will include a mini trick or treat trail\, carnival games\, a costume contest for adults and children (costumes are optional) and much more! Lots of fun photo opportunities!! Please join us for lunch starting at 12 PM with a live auction to follow at 2:30 PM. Lots of great auction prizes are available including local packages in Sonoma County\, Mendocino County\, San Francisco\, Sacramento and Lake Tahoe as well as amazing vacation packages for your choice of Hawaii or Mexico! DESCRIPTION:Rebuilding Together Petaluma is hosting our annual Fall Volunteer Workday on Saturday\, October 19th in Petaluma\, from 9am-3pm. RTP has been providing critical repairs and home modifications for low-income seniors\, veterans\, families\, and people living with disabilities for 28 years. These services are provided at no cost to the homeowners. RTP teams volunteers from the community with skilled volunteer captains to perform many Safe and Healthy Homes repairs. \nThis Fall we will repair decks\, replace wood siding\, adjust and repair windows and doors\, install grab bars\, remove trip/fall hazards\, trim bushes\, and clear yard debris. We will also collaborate with the Petaluma Fire Marshal to install smoke detectors and test existing ones. All of our services are focused on keeping folks safe in their homes\, preserving affordable housing\, and allowing seniors to age-in-place with dignity.
