Service on the SMART train was delayed yesterday after a bicyclist was injured when they were struck by a southbound train in Rohnert Park. Witnesses say the bike rider went around the flashing lights and lowered barrier gates trying to beat the train when they were hit around 3:45. The man who was struck suffered injuries to his legs. The train engineers sounded the horn and braked suddenly, no one on the train was injured.
