The former Sonoma woman convicted of lying about a couple attempting to kidnap her child three years ago outside of a Petaluma business is appealing her conviction. Her attorney says she never lied to police about the kidnap attempt, instead she just answered questions to the best of her ability about a crime that never happened. Katie Sorenson’s case will return to court on January 11th.
