Wanted: Volunteer Coaches to Learn About & Lead Fall Prevention Class for Older Adults

The Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is seeking volunteer coaches to teach a fall prevention class to area seniors. The course, known as ‘A Matter of Balance,’ is an evidence-based program, proven effective in reducing fall risk among older adults.

We will conduct a one-day training on 4/29/24 at the Sonoma County AAA in Santa Rosa. Coaches will learn to conduct educational sessions that include group discussion, problem-solving, skill-building, and assertiveness training.

If you have good interpersonal and communication skills, are enthusiastic about helping older adults, and are available to deliver classes at nearby host sites, we welcome you to participate in the 4/29/24 training and join our coaching group!
