Arson Suspected In Fire At Historic Santa Rosa Church

It is believed a fire at a historic church in Santa Rosa was set intentionally.

The fire on Monday night damaged the exterior of the Church of One Tree. The landmark was built in 1873 using the wood from a single redwood tree. It is one of the oldest churches in Santa Rosa. It now operates as a community event space.

A fire investigator found possible accelerants like burnt napkins on the property, leading to the arson determination. The structure is still stable after the fire.

The estimated cost of repairs is about five-thousand dollars.
