A man is behind bars on suspicion of committing lewd acts on a developmentally disabled adult in Santa Rosa.
Sixty-one-year-old Apolinario Araki “Junior” Santos was arrested on Tuesday, on suspicion of lewd acts on a dependent adult by a caretaker. Police say the crimes took place at a business, while Santos worked as an instructional aide.
The alleged victim is identified as a member of an educational program that helps people with developmental disabilities between the ages of 18 and 22. Participants are taught job and life skills through partnerships with local employers.
Police were made aware of the allegations on April 14th.
