Sonoma County’s EPIC Campaign To Debut This Friday in Guerneville

Starting this Friday, June 6th, visitors to Guerneville’s Main Street will notice some striking new art installations.

As part of Sonoma County’s “EPIC Campaign,” storefronts and walkways will display images of local creek and river creatures holding litter and recyclables. The EPIC Campaign, short for “Every Piece Inspires Change,” is a Sonoma County initiative to raise public awareness about how stormwater carries trash directly into our creeks and rivers.

Supervisor Lynda Hopkins emphasized that the goal is to inspire people to be better stewards of the Russian River watershed, especially with stringent trash reduction mandates due by 2030. These eye-catching installations aim to educate and encourage proper waste disposal.
