Santa Rosa city officials investigating what they’re calling an act of vandalism on the ponds at Julliard Park.
The Santa Rosa Parks and Recreation Department tells the Press Democrat it appears someone poured a bottle of Aquashade dye into the ponds last week. Aquashade dye is an aquatic colorant that changes water’s color and suppresses algae growth. Officials with the city say a recent test of the water determined the dye does not pose a significant harm to fish or plant life in the ponds.
However, the city says further action could be pursued against the suspect if lasting damage is detected.
