Petaluma To Accept Over Three Million Dollars In Grants

The city of Petaluma is accepting three-point-four million dollars in grants.

They will fund airport improvements, help update an outdated central Petaluma growth plan, and make other updates to plans for transit-adjacent growth and code consistencies. City leaders approved the funding last month. A grant of two-point-two-five million dollars from the FAA and Caltrans will fund Petaluma Airport’s taxiway rehabilitation.

The other, nearly a one-point-two million dollar grant, comes from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. It will help bring the city into compliance with the MTC’s Transit-Oriented Communities policy.
