Sonoma & Napa Counties Sue Global Fashion Retailer

Sonoma and Napa counties are suing global fast-fashion retailer Shein.

The lawsuit was filed Monday in Napa County Superior Court. Prosecutors claim the company has violated California law by failing to deliver online orders on time. Shein is also accused of not notifying customers about shipping delays. California has a law that requires online retailers to ship purchases within 30 days of payment. If they’re unable to do so, companies must issue a refund, send a replacement item or inform the buyer in writing.

The lawsuit says Shein did none of that but kept receiving payments and promising fast shipping anyway.
