The Petaluma City Schools board meets Tuesday, July 22nd, to consider a district-wide ban on cell phones for all students, TK through 12th grade, starting next July.
The Press Democrat reports while some exceptions would apply for emergencies or special needs, the move aims to create a “phone-free” environment, building on a strong push from local parents and teachers.
Currently, high schoolers can use phones during breaks, but that would change.
