Petaluma’s own Neha Vasudevan is heading to the World Cup.
The Press Democrat reports the 15-year-old artistic roller skater recently secured her spot on Team USA after a stellar performance at the USA Roller Sports Indoor National Championship, where she clinched second place. The victory sends her to Buenos Aires, Argentina, this September to compete on the global stage.
Vasudevan, a junior at Casa Grande High School, has been skating since she was just four years old. She says she’s excited to see how skaters from around the world compete at this high level. Currently, she trains for about 20 hours a week at rinks in Rohnert Park and Roseville.
Her coaches, family, and community are all celebrating her success and hard work.
