A school district in Sebastopol is facing scrutiny from parents who say repeated racial incidents are being met with silence.
The Press Democrat reports parents of children at Brook Haven Middle School report a pattern of racial slurs, which they say the district has failed to address publicly. One family’s $10,000 donation for an anti-racism curriculum has gone unused for over a year.
While Superintendent Sara Gramm maintains all incidents have been addressed, a meeting is scheduled next week between the administration and parents, who are now considering filing a formal complaint.
