The Pickett Fire in Napa County is now 37 percent contained.
That’s an eight percent improvement from Thursday morning. The more than one-week-old fire near Calistoga has remained at about 68-hundred acres for the past several days. It is mostly burning grass, brush and dead timber within the footprint of the 2020 Glass Fire.
Cal Fire now confirms five structures have been destroyed, but it’s unclear if any were homes. There are no injuries. The fire may have been caused by an escaped controlled burn at a winery.
