Vacaville Based Company Moving To Santa Rosa

Z Systems Inc., a company that makes devices to stabilize hillsides and foundations for things like roads and buildings, is moving from Vacaville to a new, much bigger facility in southwest Santa Rosa.

The North Bay Business Journal reports the company is relocating to a 47,000-square-foot building on Todd Road, which is more than double its current size. The company’s president and founder, Carrick Pierce, said the move is a strategic one, noting that buildings with the kind of layout they need are becoming harder to find in Vacaville.

The new location is also a better fit for their business, as many of their clients are in the Bay Area.  Z Systems makes what are known as soil nails and micropiles, which are used to secure slopes and foundations for projects like highway repairs and winery construction.

The company, which currently has about 10 employees, anticipates its workforce will likely grow with the move to Sonoma County.
