A quick response from fire crews and locals helped prevent a grass fire from damaging any structures in the Two Rock area west of Petaluma.
The Petaluma Argus-Courier reports the fire, which was reported on Wednesday, August 27th, was dubbed the “Rock Fire.” According the Gold Ridge Fire District, the first fire crews arrived to find local residents already working to put out the blaze with hand tools.
The fire burned about three-quarters of an acre before it was fully contained within an hour. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
