A Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit employee is suing the agency.
Samuel Castillo claims he was discriminated against and fired after seeking help for PTSD from responding to train fatalities and violent incidents. According to the Press Democrat, Castillo alleges unsafe working conditions, retaliation, and denial of benefits before his termination. SMART says Castillo remains employed, a claim his attorney disputes.
A case management conference is set for January 22nd in Sonoma County Superior Court.
