Authorities closed a roughly five-mile stretch of Highway 121 Sunday due to police activity.
The closure, from just north of Atlas Peak Road to Wooden Valley Road, was first reported around 10:30 a.m. after an initial crash alert. Less than two hours later, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office said the highway would remain closed for an extended period.
Details about the law enforcement response were not immediately available.
