Santa Rosa Church Celebrates 25 Years Of Feeding High School Students

A Santa Rosa church is celebrating over 25 years of fueling local students for the school day.

The Press Democrat reports every weekday morning at 6:00 a.m., volunteers at the Presbyterian Church of the Roses begin preparing hot breakfast burritos and pancakes for students at neighboring Montgomery High.

The “Breakfast Angels” program serves roughly 90 students daily, providing a warm, safe space for teens to eat and socialize before class. Funded primarily by the congregation, the program has survived the pandemic and rising inflation to ensure no student starts their day hungry. As one senior put it: “It’s a safe place to chill—and the food is actually good.”
