A downtown Petaluma “hidden gem” is closing its doors. After 27 years, Water Street Bistro will serve its final meal on February 6th.
Per the Petaluma Argus-Courier, owner Stephanie Rastetter announced the closure on social media, calling it a “hard decision” but the right time for her next chapter. Since 1999, the riverside cafe has been a local favorite for French-inspired comfort food like duck confit and quiche.
Rastetter, a farm-to-table pioneer, thanked the community she now considers family. Fans have until February 6th to use any remaining gift certificates and say their goodbyes.
