Santa Rosa’s historic Auditorium will host a powerful reunion this Thursday as legendary former choir director Dan Earl returns to conduct the annual William Barclay Memorial Concert.
The Press Democrat reports the “massed choir” finale will bring together 130 voices from five local high schools to sing Earl’s signature piece, “The Lord Bless You and Keep You”—a song that has become a staple for generations of local singers.
Adding to the night’s prestige, world-renowned conductor Paul Head is flying in from the University of Delaware to lead the program, returning to the stage where he once sat as one of Earl’s students decades ago.
