Santa Rosa police are on high alert after an anonymous 12-page letter calling for “war” and violence against ICE agents was mailed to the Sonoma County Republican Party.
The Press Democrat reports the letter included diagrams for explosives and was even used in a bizarre “return-to-sender” scheme where a similar threat was mailed to a Florida company using the local GOP’s address.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Investigations Team are now working with regional intelligence hubs to track down the source of these threats, while local party leaders are calling for an end to the dangerous rhetoric.
