The skies over Santa Rosa are getting a bit friendlier this fall as Southwest Airlines announces new nonstop service to Austin, Texas.
Flights from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International are set to launch October 3rd. The seasonal service will operate on Saturdays, adding a fifth destination to Southwest’s local lineup.
The airline officially begins its Santa Rosa operations on April 7th with daily routes to Burbank, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Denver. Due to high demand, Southwest has already announced it will expand that Denver service from Saturday-only to five days a week starting in late August.
