Sutter Health is launching a 16-million-dollar renovation to transform a former dialysis center into a state-of-the-art cardiology hub north of Santa Rosa.
The Press Democrat reports the new 13,000-square-foot facility will double the number of patient exam rooms and consolidate advanced imaging services, like cardiac CT scans, into a single location.
Doctors say the expansion is a response to critical overcrowding, with staff currently working out of makeshift offices and medication rooms. By increasing the provider team to 16 specialists, Sutter aims to slash patient wait times from over a month to just 14 days.
The center is expected to open its doors this December, specifically targeting the growing heart-care needs of the local “baby boomer” population.
