Santa Rosa nonprofit Becoming Independent is celebrating a major win after raising over $200,000 at its annual Crab Feed.
Per the Press Democrat, more than 450 supporters gathered at The Backdrop on February 28th, cracking through 2,000 pounds of crab to benefit adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The funds will directly support the organization’s mission to provide vital housing, education, and healthcare services across the North Bay.
Attendees were treated to a silent auction and special performances by the very individuals the nonprofit serves. If you missed the fun, several of those performers will take the stage again for a community talent show on April 24th.
