A long-vacant Santa Rosa site is finally getting a new lease on life as Hapa’s on the Mainland prepares for a late 2026 debut.
Per Sonoma Magazine, co-owners Ann and Dennis Tussey of Sweet T’s are transforming the former Cricklewood space, which has sat empty since being rebuilt after the 2017 wildfires. The project is a lifelong dream for partner and Big Island native George Ah Chin, who plans to bring authentic Hawaiian flavors to the Old Redwood Highway.
Investors recently got a first taste of the concept, sampling everything from shoyu chicken and poke to flaming tiki cocktails. The massive venue will eventually house an indoor tiki lounge, a full dining room, and two outdoor bars for over 200 guests.
While the project has been three years in the making, the owners say they hope to have the community celebrating with tiki mugs in hand by year’s end.
It’s a major milestone for the local dining scene and a welcome revival for a piece of Santa Rosa history.
