A vibrant new tradition kicked off this past Sunday as the Sonoma County Fairgrounds hosted the inaugural Mercado Rosa.
Per the North Bay Business Journal, organized by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, this monthly market is the first of its kind to focus exclusively on highlighting Latino-owned small businesses and local creators.
More than 50 vendors filled the Event Center with a colorful array of authentic food, handcrafted art, and professional services. Residents can catch the festivities—including live entertainment and community showcases—one Sunday each month at the Bennett Valley Road location. While the event is free to the public, organizers encourage guests to register online in advance to help manage the growing crowd.
It’s a major step forward for representation and economic growth in the heart of Santa Rosa.
