Santa Rosa Set for Major Spring Road Overhaul

Two of Santa Rosa’s busiest connectors are finally getting a facelift this spring as the city launches a massive repaving project.

Crews are heading to Hopper Avenue to repair deep damage left behind by heavy debris removal following the 2017 Tubbs Fire. This project marks a major milestone in the city’s long road to recovery, effectively closing the chapter on fire-related infrastructure repairs.

Beyond just fixing potholes, the upgrades are designed to smooth out traffic flow and boost safety for drivers between Coffey Park and Highway 101. Local officials and neighbors plan to celebrate the start of the work with a special ceremony on April 14th.

Construction is expected to kick into high gear shortly after, so be prepared for some orange cones in the coming weeks.
