Man Arrested Following Hit-And-Run In Sonoma

The Sonoma Index-Tribune is reporting a Boyes Hot Springs man has been arrested following a hit-and-run incident in the Sonoma Safeway parking lot on the evening of July 4th.

According to Sonoma Police Chief Brandon Cutting, 22-year-old Justin Flores turned himself in late that night. He was subsequently booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.

The incident occurred around 7:56 PM when Flores, driving a black Chevy Tahoe SUV, struck a 25-year-old male motorcyclist at the Safeway entrance. The victim was transported to Queen of the Valley Hospital with injuries, though police could not confirm the extent. Authorities found no evidence that Flores was driving under the influence.
