Nurses at Petaluma Valley Hospital are protesting what they call excessive, ongoing cuts to their work hours.
On Wednesday, nurses held a one-day picket outside of the Providence-owned hospital. Nurses argue the cuts are in violation of the contract with their union and are negatively impacting patient care. They also say some long-term nurses are being driven to look for other jobs.
More than 25 nurses and union representatives took part in the protest.
