Petaluma City Councilwoman Janice Cader Thompson is facing a recall effort. So far though, it hasn’t gone very far.
John Hanania is a longtime critic of Petaluma’s government. He tried to serve intent-to-recall papers to Cader Thompson during a recent City Council meeting but the city clerk said they didn’t have enough signatures. Hanania has since announced he has collected the 60-plus signatures required to file the intent-to-recall.
Hanania claims Cader Thompson has been dismissive during public meetings and has showed disregard for the input of her colleagues and the community.
