One person is facing charges in connection to a fiery wrong way crash that killed one person near the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
The California Highway Patrol says the suspect in Tuesday morning’s crash will be taken into police custody after they’re released from the hospital, where they remain in critical condition. Police say the person was driving west in the eastbound lanes of the I-580 when they slammed head-on into another vehicle, killing the driver.
Investigators believe alcohol or drugs may have been involved.
