The Petaluma Fire Department quickly put out an apartment fire on Technology Lane Saturday morning, October 18th.
The Petaluma Argus-Courier reports firefighters knocked down the blaze on the second and third floors within 10 minutes, and no one was injured as residents safely evacuated before crews arrived.
In total, three residents and five pets were displaced—three small, caged pets were also rescued by firefighters. The apartment was red-tagged as unsafe and the Red Cross is assisting the occupants.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
